Welcome to my website.

Thirty years of picture making are represented here. The earliest photo, Joni Mitchell at Yale Bowl, was made in 1977. The most recent pictures are the River Series. In between, there have been tens of thousands of pictures of every day life, far away places, my sons growing up, numerous personal series, anything/everything of interest to me.

Photography became my challenge and happiness in 1973. Then came art school and learning to process color and BW films and papers using lots and lots of chemicals. I remember all the smells, that darkness and wetness, and the screw-mount Pentax lenses and the curly recording film and what magic infrared film was.

Now, I use only digital methods--RAW files, Photoshop, an Epson 2200 printer. My mouse and I make archival prints in broad daylight and this is wonderful!

In my Auburndale, Massachusetts studio, I photograph people, products and artwork. Restoring old damaged photos is very satisfying work too. I look forward to new photographic subjects, projects, obsessions and challenges.
